Easy Cranberry Mustard

        

Holidays are a wonderful time for families getting together but it can be really busy, especially for the hostess. I find food preparation sometimes needs to happen quickly. Here are two recipes that helped me this season. One is a quick and easy soup and the other is a quick mustard that can garnish everything from turkey to ham and even cheese.


Easy Cranberry Mustard
1 cup canned cranberry jelly
½ cup grey poupon
¼ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 drops orange oil – optional

Heat cranberry jelly in microwave until it starts to boil. About 2 minutes. Stir it to get it as smooth as possible. Add brown sugar and allow to cool for a few minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients and refrigerate.
Nice on turkey, chicken, pork and ham and with cheese.
