Sunscreen and summer go together. There is a way to check out your sunscreen and see if it is effective and if it contains unsavory ingredients. The EWG (environmental working group) has a great site: EWG.org. It rates all kinds of products and ingredients for toxicity. If you google EWG's guide to sunscreen 2015, it lists products by their rating from non toxic to 10. The EWG research button on that page has the Hall of Shame and not only lists bad choices but what doesn't work about various types of sunscreen. If you have never checked them out, you can look up all kinds of beauty products by name or ingredient to find out just what you are putting on your body and getting absorbed into your body. You do not have to join to look at the site. Be safe this summer.
